Electoral Cologne Castle Zülpich

"The Kurkölnische castle in Zülpich was built at the end of the 14th century as a symbol of sovereignty and outpost of the Cologne archbishops against the county Jülich.The 30-meter-high observation tower of the Landesburg can be climbed again in 2014 since the State Garden Show NRW Zülpich (LAGA). The state castle with the city wall and gates, some of which have been preserved to this day, are in surprisingly good condition. The State Horticultural Show certainly also contributed to providing funds for renovation work. Today visitors are presented with a piece of medieval architecture.

The old town center around the castle and the town gates are very beautiful
