Anyone simply heading south over the Brenner Pass should avoid this route. It's 400 meters of elevation gain with a 10-13% gradient, followed by constant ups and downs. It's certainly nice as a workout after work, but it's an unnecessary waste of time for a long-distance run. It's also not without traffic, with lots of cars.
