The Oude Toren is the ruin of the tower of the former church of Bergen, located on the Oude Kerkstraat. . The Oude Toren, a Romanesque building, built of ironstone, dates from 1230.
In October 1944, the tower was destroyed by war violence. The war damage was only partially repaired. A preserved tower ruin was the result.
The first section of the tower consists of ironstone, and the higher sections of marlstone.
Nowadays, the tower serves as an urn chapel.
