The beautifully situated parish church of the Holy Cross dates back to around 1330 and was initially part of a castle complex. The current church dates from the beginning of the 19th century and is based on the foundations of the medieval church. The tower and choir date from around 1500. The picture of the Epiphany by Barlmä Dill Riemenschneider, the son of the famous carver (dated 1541), is worth seeing.
The church is located directly on the Graf-Volkmar-Weg, a pleasant walking path above the village of Burgstall, which stretches along the mountain slope for a length of approx. 4 km.
