The original castle Katzenstein was probably built in the 13th century by the eponymous ministries of the Counts of Tyrol, who led a sitting cat in the shield. In the 16th and 19th century, various extensions / additions were made, but they did not change the character of the estate. The castle is located on a spur-like heel on the mountainside east of the Meran fraction Sinich. The rebuilt small castle is in good condition. The core of the plant is a habitable keep with a square layout with an edge length of about 8.5 meters. The castle is privately owned and can only be visited from the outside.
