Best Race Bike Rides to Subida al Coll de Sa Batalla
Tips
  • The Coll de Sa Bataia is the third highest pass in Mallorca. At the top there is a gas station with a restaurant and drinks.

  • Finest asphalt, beautiful serpentines and little traffic. Most beautiful departure of the whole island.

  • Very nice to drive because the slopes are very moderately high. I went up on a Sunday in June, never again on a Sunday.
As I later found out, Sundays are Mallorcan biker meetings and they race up there as if they had left their brains at home.

  • The Coll de Sa Bataia (579 m) marks the confluence of the PM213 in the west coast road C710, which is located about 400 m from the high point. Two roads lead up - the West Coast Road from Pollenca (47 m), 20 km to the east, and the PM213 from Inca, 16 km away, to the east. Upstairs is a gas station, a vending machine and a restaurant. So the cyclist is well taken care of.

  • On the pass in the small restaurant there is a fine freshly squeezed orange juice. Highly recommended.

  • Pass between Lluc and Inca. Nearby is the "famous" gas station with catering for road cyclists and bikers.

  • Always worth a stop, as a much needed stop for cyclists. Reasonable prices.

  • Impressive ascent through the Tramuntana massif. The pass is at an altitude of 580 m. We drove up from Lloseta- highly recommended on the way up to Puig Major!
