Do you know Siegfriedsdorf? Not really? That's right, that's not possible. For in 1427 a Hussite army reached the small town and devastated it completely. Only a chapel fragment and a fountain are reminiscent of this site. In the 12th century, the settlement was built above the monastery Marienthal at Ostritz. The former village at this point was the "basic foodstuff" for the monastery for centuries and was given to the nuns by Queen Kunigunde in 1234. When the Hussites invaded this region, they did not manage to rob the monastery, because at that time it was more of a castle than a baroque palace. For this reason, the Hussites only managed to pillage the village of "Siffridsdorf" on May 11, 1427.

"Siegfriedsdorf", which already existed before 1234 under the name "Siffridsdorf".
