The Banneux Chapel, a prayer site in Lichtenbusch, dedicated to the Virgin of the Poor, in Eynatten-Lichtenbusch in the German-speaking Community of East Belgium, was built in 1968 at the corner of Raerener Straße and Totleger and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Its name refers to the Belgian pilgrimage site of Banneux in the municipality of Sprimont, to which Marian apparitions are attributed.
The chapel is a joint project of citizens on both sides of the German-Belgian border and is popularly known as the "Kiss-my-Ass Chapel" (Keck-ich-am-Arsch-Kapelle) due to an innkeeper's idea to finance the construction and maintenance of the chapel, among other things, through fines for public swearing.
