Hiking

The last hiker parking lot after Schloss Elmau, with 250 spaces, is the ideal starting point for the hike up Schachen. The fee is five euros and is paid at a barrier at the beginning of the private road. If you arrive early, the barriers may be open and no one is collecting the fee. In this case, the fee will be handed over to the cashier upon exiting.
