Best Hikes to Wasserfall Partnachklamm
Tips
  • Andi

The Partnach Gorge is a special experience. It can get quite damp. Don't forget rain protection.

  • In the middle of nowhere, a waterfall shoots out and conjures vibrant colors into the room.

  • The Partnach Gorge is well developed and easy to master, even with children. However, there is no space for prams. It can be very busy on the track.

  • The Partnachklamm is no longer an insider tip. Every year, more than 300,000 people visit the gorge, which was opened up to tourists in 1912 and declared a natural monument.
With a length of 699 meters and a depth of around 80 meters, the Partnach Gorge is definitely one of the highlights for every visitor to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is ideal for a short trip or as a starting point for further tours in the Reintal.
You cannot drive directly to the Partnach Gorge by car. You should plan about 20 minutes for the walk through the beautiful nature to the gorge.
In the gorge - especially at the waterfall - it can get wet. Rain jacket and waterproof shoes are recommended.

The Partnach Gorge is open all year round, but it may be closed for security reasons in the meantime. If this is the case, there are two other hiking trails available to bypass the gorge.

  • Definitely see, breathtaking and deafening :-) But everything is bearable. A highlight for children too ... At the moment there is a mask requirement and a one-way street system starting at the Olympic Stadium parking lot. There are various ways to return ...
