The Partnach Gorge is no longer an insider tip. Every year more than 300,000 people visit the gorge, which was opened up for tourism in 1912 and declared a natural monument.
With a length of 699 meters and a depth of around 80 meters, the Partnach Gorge is definitely one of the highlights for every visitor to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is ideal for a short excursion or as a starting point for further tours in the Reintal.
You cannot drive directly to the Partnach Gorge by car. You should plan about 20 minutes for the walk through the beautiful nature to the gorge.
In the gorge - especially at the waterfall - it can get damp. Rain jackets and waterproof shoes are recommended.
