The Ferchensee is a small insider tip. Easy to reach with a small walk from Mittenwald. (There is sometimes a shuttle service) or from Elmau. Almost as clear as the Eibsee, but there is a picturesque sunbathing area and nice flat entry points into the lake. In addition, there are not as many tourist crowds here as on other lakes in the region.
