When Ickinger weir branches of Mühltalkanal from the Isar, which supplies the running power plant Mühltal with water. The fortification dates back to the 1920s and is now blending harmoniously into the landscape around the Isar.

In summer, there are numerous, flowering plants on the upper Isarkanalweg. Including native orchids. In addition, there are numerous butterflies, including rare ones like the golden eight and the swallowtail. At Ickinger weir, on the Ickinger side, you will find a fish ladder. There are many beautiful dragonflies on this.

Very good way to cross the Isar. If you want to cross the river from the east side you first have to open a steel door to get into the weir.
