Road cycling
one of the better routes out of central Helsinki, southern end on a quiet street, rest on a mixed-use path (can get crowded), okay asphalt, quite hilly considering there is a completely flat railway right next to this (this route at least avoids the steepest part of the climb coming from the city)
(from west of the tracks I would rather take the path around Töölö bay (western side, via the opera) and only join this path for its northern half at Helsinginkatu)

the Kaisaniemi park (southern end of the segment) will be a construction site for several years, but this route is now pretty much in its final state since July 2024, the southern end is now a dedicated bike path which has been moved to the other side of restaurant Cajsan Helmi but otherwise unchanged
