It's just a nice stretch on the dike.

This path is not the official Elbe Cycle Route, which runs parallel to this through the Vierlande (also very beautiful). The special thing is, you drive on the dike to 2 km before Geesthacht and has a beautiful view of the Elbe and can actually stop anywhere short or longer. The road, which is also on the dike, is often used by racing cyclists. When driving I had in luck until now, at parking places cars are slowing down the traffic.

For me with the most beautiful dike section on the way from the Tatenbker lock to Geesthacht to the barrages. Just nice there. to perfection, only the entire dike section would have to be designated as a 30 zone and every 150m a stationary speed camera, because the cars and the trucks sometimes quite rush and annoying.

As Siegfried LG writes, a very nice and easy to drive route with great views of the Elbe. Here are always many road cyclists on the road at very high speed on the road - who wants, can even try to stay tuned to them ..... 😄
