Mallinde (Silberborn Lime Tree)

On the way there are about 10 stations with boards that provide information about the actual or attributed properties of different tree species. Also very interesting for children.

Wanderpark Mallinde near Berka v. Hainich. Good starting point for hikes in the Hainich, right on the way to Mallinde and Silberbornlinde. Beautiful path with information boards to the native tree species.

The old tree is considered a landmark of the Hainich and was placed under protection as a natural monument.Immediately next to the tree is the Malstein, the mark of an old court square. The Thuringian Landgrave court was held here since the 12th century.
