The old, historic windmill in Rysum is definitely worth a visit. During our visit in September 2019 you could visit them for free and see for yourself how they work. From the upper platform you have a beautiful panoramic view. A few euros in the donation container at the exit should definitely be left for the preservation of the beautifully restored building.

A wonderful little mill in the heart of the village. Free entry is available for visitors (donation box available). Steep stairs, but still worth a visit. Beautiful panoramic view over Rysum.
