After the last hot weeks, we used today's cooler weather directly for a bike tour. We started in Walbeck and drove from there towards the Netherlands. We went through the Maasduinen along the Reindersmeer and later also past the Leukermeer. The Maasduinen are always worth a tour. Great nature.

Our bike tour today first went towards Wesel, past the Auesee lake. Then through the Diersfordter forest. There we pushed our bikes for a while on the wooden boardwalk before we got back on our bikes and continued towards Hamminkeln. Afterwards, we went to Ringenberg and from there to the Lippe river

After a doctor's visit in Xanten, we seized the opportunity to start a hike right away. It went through the spa park (Kurpark), around the Xantener Südsee lake and around the Prekkesee lake.

We were invited to a birthday breakfast today. There was a very rich breakfast and it was very sociable.
We went there by bike and on the way back we took a few laps to get some more exercise. That felt very good.

Our bike tour today first went past Bislicher Insel to Xanten. Then over the Boxtelerbahn towards Sonsbeck. Once there, we rode via Alpen through the fields back to Borth. It was great cycling weather and we had a lot of fun.

Today we visited a friend in Kamp-Lintfort. Since the weather was great, the car stayed put and we set off by bike. We took the beautiful cycle path through the Leucht, past the Kamp monastery, to Kamp-Lintfort. For the way back, we chose the route towards the Rhine. It went via Orsoy along the dike

On Whit Monday, there was a bike tour with the bowling club. This time the tour went over the Alps, through the Leucht, past the Bearlaghof to Kamp Monastery. From there, via Alpsray, Millingen and Ossenberg back to Borth.

First day in Herford for a bike tour. The weather played along wonderfully, so we were able to do the planned bike tour. It was a nice tour from Herford via the Werre riverside path to Bad Salzuflen. Then it continued towards Hohenhausen through nature and then back to Herford. There were a few climbs

We are spending the weekend in Herford. After we arrived, we first explored Herford on foot. Tomorrow and Monday we want to get on our bikes to get to know the surroundings. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Today I used the day off again to go into nature. Our hike first went through the forest near Sonsbeck and up the hill at Op den Hövel, before heading across the federal road towards Balberger Wald and Tüschenwald. Finally, once again up the observation tower of Sonsbeck.

After a strenuous week, we were looking forward to relaxing today. We decided on a hike through the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park.
It led over beautiful narrow paths through a wonderful forest area.

Today we met friends in Xanten for breakfast. The weather was good, so we got on our bikes and rode via Bislich to Xanten. After the extensive breakfast, we cycled another round via Alpen through the Leucht to Kamp-Lintfort to Kloster Kamp. From there, we went to Alpsray and back home again. It ended

On the second day in Neheim, the weather played along wonderfully again. The hike first went along the renatured Ruhr and then over the hiking trails of the Luerwald. The two days were a lot of fun and we were very happy that the hikes really worked out so well, considering that one of us had had a knee

Today we stayed close to home and took a walk through the Leucht. We cycled to the starting point Rheinberger Straße - Leichenweg before continuing on foot. The round trip by bike was 11.7 km. Thus, the actual hike was 12.7 km long.
