Just outside the wall of the rectory, in the shade, is the Chapel of Saint Joseph. A bench invites you to linger.
Historical explanation: This chapel was built in 1884 as a neo-Gothic chapel by the then pastor and his sister. In the chapel hangs a foundation plaque with the text "This chapel was built by the reverend pastor Henricus Lalemant and his sister Theresia in gratitude for the good results of the election in 1884". The election that is mentioned here is that of the Catholic victory over the liberal ministry of education (School Struggle 1879-1884).
