The Margrave Pond (also called Margrave Pond) is an artificially created reservoir east of the town of Selb in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge, near the state border with the Czech Republic. It is part of an extensive pond chain consisting of Upper and Lower Margrave pond, Erlteich, Schutzeich, Breiter pond, Steinfurter pond and Langer pond. The Margrave pond is located in an extensive forest area on the Nordweg, a main hiking trail of the Fichtelgebirgsverein, which leads from Selb to the Ostweg on the Czech border.
