A site well worth seeing that shows the life of the colonists who once populated the landscape and laboriously cleared it. There is also a tree church on the site, which has the layout of the Marienkirche in Rendsburg.

The nature experience area Kolonistenhof with its 14 hectare outdoor area and the exhibition building is open all year round. Here you can pet sheep and goats, watch owls and experience a lot on the barefoot path, the sculpture path and the hiking trails.
In the information building you will learn interesting facts about the end moraine landscape of the Hüttener Berge Nature Park, formed during the Ice Age, with its flora and fauna.
Another focus of the exhibition is colonization. The difficult life of the settlers from Württemberg, who were brought to the country by the Danish king at the end of the 18th century, is explained in a graphic and interactive way. A barbecue area and a large playground invite you to linger with the whole family. Coffee and cake or grilled food can be pre-ordered for refreshment.

Numerous events take place on the colonist farm, e.g. B. Concerts, an art market and the big Easter fire. Children can go on safari with the bat detector, explore a pond as nature detectives or explore the life of butterflies.

The tree church in the open air is particularly attractive! Church services are held here on special holidays. The tree church is also available for weddings and baptisms.
