Here art becomes particularly vivid. For you can not only look at the work of Suse Weber, but watch him at the beginning. The artist will work on site during the entire duration of the exhibition and you can even have a say in the development.

The theme of the installation in an old signal box house in Bochum West Park is the "racehorse of the little man" - the pigeon. And in all the faccets: From the peace pigeon to the carrier, from the military utility to the religious symbol animal, from the fascination of their sensory abilities to the "painterly" destructive power of their legacies - with almost universal demands and humor. Thus, she creates new perspectives on previously little-known or considered aspects of the pigeon motif.

From the adjacent Westpark you can start a nice bike ride through the industrial history of the Ruhr area. This is where the Erzbahn line begins in the direction of Gelsenkirchen. Along the bike route you will find many other cultural hotspots up to the Rhine-Herne Canal. Quite down-to-earth and typically Ruhrpott is, for example, Holgers Erzbahnbude, where you can end the day relaxed.
