In sight of the development area Brunnleite near Mühlendorf is located in a southerly direction the Holy Cross Chapel in a clearing at the edge of the forest. Here the "Sieben-Kapellenweg" continues through the Kappelholz to Kreuzschuh. The first chapel was already mentioned in 1528 in a document. In 1976, a new chapel was donated, as the old was largely expired. The Holy Cross Chapel had a special meaning in the past as a local place of pilgrimage. Even hermits lived from 1748 in an annex to the chapel.
