Inistioge Bridge is a picturesque, ten-arch, Romanesque bridge across the River Nore. Its tenth arch is home to a garden and seats from which to admire its architecture. Legend has it that a mermaid once died here.

This impressive ten-arch bridge that spans over the River Nore in Inistioge forms an important and imposing landmark in the townscape of Inistioge.
The bridge was initially designed and built in 1765, and then rebuilt in 1863 after heavy floods washed the original away.
