Hiking
The parish of Blerick consisted of three residential areas, called rotten, very early on. First, there was the current center of Blerick plus some buildings on the Nieuwborg and the Horsterweg. This part was called the Dorp, Blerick or Maes-Blerick. In addition, there was the Hout-Blericker rot and the Boekender rot. The number of inhabitants of Blerick rose from less than 700 to over 2,200 between 1450 and 1875.
