The Meuse is almost 900 km long and flows through Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The Dutch section of the Maas has been developed for large shipping and so it can happen that a fat steamer passes unsuspectingly at the rather narrow Maas point near Steyl.
In Steyl there is a ferry to Baarlo, sometimes every 5-10 minutes...
