    Hiking

Scharhörn is a fascinating dune island in the Hamburg Wadden Sea, which you may only enter with a permit. Here, you can experience the power of nature firsthand: The island moves a little further each year, as wind, currents, and tides constantly shape its form. Scharhörn is uninhabited; only a bird warden lives there temporarily to protect the rare and numerous seabirds that breed and rest here. The island is a paradise for birds and an important refuge for nature.
