Flamborough Old Lighthouse is the earliest lighthouse in the UK which that is still standing. It was built in 1674.
The lighthouse is built from chalk and was designed to use a coal or brushwood fire at the top to provide the light. However, it was never used after its creator, Sir John Clayton, went bankrupt after its completion.
The new lighthouse (built in 1806) is slightly further down the road. As well as a cliff top cafe.

It's really cool that you go past the old lighthouse en route to the new one!
