The sculpture is part of a permanent open-air exhibition titled "La Cotidianidad" (Everyday Life), created by Cartagena-born artist Edgardo Carmona. The sculpture series depicts typical scenes and professions of Caribbean everyday life in Colombia, such as a barber, chess players, or street vendors.
