In recent years, nature has slowly returned to the former garbage mountain on Leonberger Straße, and the so-called “Dachskopf” (Dachskopf) was created on the recultivated landfill hilltop, a vantage point with views in all directions – to the Gäu region and the Stuttgart TV tower, as well as to the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb.

Hiking
This circular hike is best started at the "Sommerhofen" restaurant. Plenty of parking is available.
The hike leads up to the Dachsklinge and the former Sindelfingen landfill. Along the way, we'll find several benches sawn out of oak trunks.
The benches are worth seeing; they're almost works of art.
Views of the surrounding area are available from the highest point.
The return route leads back to Haus Sommerhofen.
