The Osterwohle Church was built in the 13th century as a plastered fieldstone church. It served as a village church and as the estate church of the noble von der Schulenburg family. In the first two decades of the 17th century, the church was extensively rebuilt. It received a curved gable and, to the west, a round stair tower with a curved cap. The church was given a large, richly structured, slate-covered turret. The north portal features a carved wooden door in the Mannerist style.
