The new castle on Boerenkisjeslaan “town hall” was built in 1909 - 1911 by order of Jeanne de Merode on a domain of 6.65 hectares. The castle with its beautiful front garden has a very impressive appearance. Since 1973, the building has served as Westerlo's town hall.
