At this spot on the Uinta Highline Trail is the intersection with the Davis Lakes Trail, which is a short spur trail that heads north up to the Kidney Lakes, Rainbow Lake, and the Davis Lakes. Any one of these lakes are great spots to camp if completing the Uinta Highline Trail or tagging any of the amazing summits near by. Just beyond this junction, you get great views of Painter Basin, Anderson Pass, and Kings Peak, the tallest mountain in Utah.
