Information:
The Weißeritz Cycle Path from Plauensche Grund to Tharandt – part of the national cycle route D4 (Mittellandroute) – had been incomplete for years. Between the "Goldener Löwe" (Golden Lion) and Deubener Straße in Freital-Potschappel, the route was interrupted due to a lack of necessary infrastructure. This gap has now been closed. A special feature is a pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Wiederitz River shortly before its confluence with the Weißeritz. In addition to the cycle path, a small rest area has been created.
