Construction of the church began in 1492 and was completed in 1508. A special feature is that a single pillar supports the entire vault of the church. So it is a so-called “one-pillar church”. The parish church was deliberately built within the defenses of the time, so that the mighty church tower could previously be used as an additional defensive tower.
