What is widely referred to as Ith, is a large number of rocks that are partially close, but sometimes far apart. Roughly one can divide the Ith in the northern, middle and southern Ith. The northern Ith (Marienau, Coppenbrügge, Bessingen and Bisperode) and the middle Ith (Brunke, Dohnsen, Wallensen and Hakenrode), however, are far behind in the popularity scale of the climbers behind the southern Ith. Especially the Lürdissener and Holzener cliffs enjoy a special inflow here. This is certainly also due to the proximity to the campground and the associated good accessibility. In addition, whoever accesses here, holds solid and handy lime in his hands.
Very interesting rock formations, good sure-footedness required

The ith hils hiking trail is really exciting. For the narrow trail one should be firm.

In total, there are 10 rocks with a height of up to 20 meters where plate climbing in good rock is predominant. Of the difficulty levels, almost everything is represented here. Only those who really look for easy routes will not find too many. But you can take a look at the first route in the 9th degree (UIAA) in northern Germany (who can, of course, can climb!), The shoulder path on the Drachenwand.

Even as a non-climber, the cliffs are a beautiful sight, which is worthwhile.

Beautiful hiking trails on the cliffs lead to the 5 Ith caves in southern Ith (Nasensteinhöhle, Kinderhöhle, Rothesteinhöhle, Soldatenhöhle and the Bärenhöhle)
