Road Cycling Highlight
An incredible feeling of space and freedom in the middle of the city. Here you can do wonderful things, barbecues, sports, walk through the communal gardens, observe people at curious activities, make pawnbrokers happy. And as so often in Berlin, there is also a historical veil over this place and schwupdiwups one is in limo drinking in the middle of a political discussion. What will become of the Tempelhof field? Who should have something like this? The time will tell. Until then, enjoy, design and watch the sun go down.
Change monthly, roughly from sunrise to sunset.
When the weather is nice you just have to go to the field! Of course, many think Neuköllner, so it can be very crowded on the weekend. During the week, you usually have free rein on the racing bike and can take turns sprinting and fighting against the wind. 1A training!
If you want the Tempelhofer Feld all to yourself then get up early as the sun comes up - it's a magical place around 7am. On the flipside, the place becomes alive after work bringing a completely different vibe as people head out to drink, chat, fly kites, skate, BBQ. You name it and it's probably happening there.
Tempelhof is a great place to train without having to worry about traffic. However, it can get super busy so the best time is before 8am. At weekends this place is heaving so don’t expect to make it through quickly.
