Ancient times, when God and the devil divided the earth among themselves, it was agreed between them that the devil should own all the land which he could rebuild in a night until the first cockcrow with a wall. That night, when the devil began building, an old woman was on her way to sell a cock in the market. In the dark, she stumbled, and the cock was startled and began to crow. The devil heard this, and thought that his time had already passed, and with rage he broke the devil's wall again. The remains have remained until today.

Probably the most impressive part of the Teufelsmauer. Especially at sunrise you can experience great color games

The Lange Wand, the Königsstein, the west tower. This stone natural monument is a must for every visitor of the Harz

Be sure to visit .... The Devil's Wall is a bizarre sandstone formation that was created 85 million years ago. From the car park, a comfortable sandy path with steps leads to an observation deck, from which you have a wonderful view of the Harz foothills and Quedlinburg. On the way you pass the Bode and a lovingly maintained public garden. The walk can be extended to a circular path or you can continue on the Teufelsmauersteig.

Be sure to visit .... the Devil's Wall is a bizarre sandstone formation that originated 85 million years ago. It rises monumentally in the landscape between Blankenburg and Neinstedt. A wide sand path with steps leads from the parking lot to the observation deck, from which you have a wonderful view of the Harz foothills and Quedlinburg. The path leads past the Bode and a lovingly maintained public garden. The trail can be extended to a circular route or you can continue on the Teufelsmauersteig trail.ü b.k.

These are parts of the Teufelsmauer at Weddersleben / Thale. From the middle stones you have a good view of Quedlinburg.

Probably the most striking part of the Teufelsmauer is located south of Weddersleben and extends to Warnstedt. There, two kilometers long, the king stone, the center stones and the pebble stones line up.
