Hiking

Vaduz Castle is the landmark and residence of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, perched on a rocky outcrop about 120 meters above the capital. The castle's origins are thought to date back to the 12th century, although it was first documented in 1322. Owned by the princes since 1712, it was thoroughly restored at the beginning of the 20th century and occupied by Prince Franz Josef II in 1939. The castle is not open to the public as it is the residence of the princely family.
