The new Albig church bells were cast in 1954. The old bells were confiscated and melted down during World War II. Only the very old bell, called "Osanna", remained. It dates from 1380 and is now 640 years old and still rings daily for secular purposes.

Hiking

The Church of Our Lady was first mentioned in a document in 962, but it can be assumed that the church existed before then. [Note 1] It is the baptismal church of Saint Hildegard of Bingen, who was born in Bermersheim vor der Höhe.
