For visitors, the Modave Nature Reserve offers numerous hiking trails starting from the Château de Modave and leading through the diverse landscape. These trails allow for a close-up experience of the area's natural beauty and biodiversity.

A special feature of the area is the colony of the greater horseshoe bat, one of Europe's most endangered bat species, which has taken up residence in the attics of the Château de Modave.

The Modave nature reserve extends over more than 370 ha on the properties of the Vivaqua company. Mainly forest, the nature reserve nevertheless includes some lawns on limestone and beautiful wet wastelands along the river (the Hoyoux).
