The church of Föllinge is the third church building on this site. The first church stood here at the beginning of the 17th century, the larger successor building was built in 1815 and expanded in 1885. This church was destroyed by arson on July 17, 1994. The current church, which looks similar to its predecessor, was consecrated on October 4, 1998.
