The WaterWorks Centre nature reserve has become a unique wildlife haven and a fantastic area for all the family just a few miles from central London. Previously known as the Essex Filter Beds.

This is something of a hidden gem, located just a stone's throw from Lea Bridge station, between Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. Hides provide nature enthusiasts the opportunity to spot the local wildlife, while the paths through the reserve make for lovely, serene cycling in the middle of the city.
