Hiking
The valley was once a thriving industrial landscape. Originally, the Nahmerbach stream supplied energy to numerous small, handicraft-like metalworking businesses, some of which still exist today. Until replaced by modern trucks, the factories were connected to the German Railway network by the Hohenlimburg narrow-gauge railway. The narrow-gauge railway snaked its way through the streets of the small town, sometimes with adventurous curves, until it was closed in 1983.
