The Monument to the Praga Backyard Band is located in Praga-Północ, at the intersection of Floriańska and ks. Ignacy Kłopotowskiego streets in Warsaw. Its initiator was Archbishop Sławoj Leszek Głódź, who decided to honor the people of Warsaw and commemorate the Warsaw backyard band. The monument was unveiled on September 17, 2006, and its authorship is attributed to sculptor Andrzej Renes.

The monument presents five figures: a violinist, an accordionist, a guitarist, a banjoist, and a drummer. The unveiling ceremony of the monument was combined with a performance by authentic backyard bands, such as Kapela Praska, Różyc Orchestra, and Cepelia Kurpianka – a Kurpie band from Kadzidło.

The idea for the monument came from Archbishop Sławoj Leszek Głódź, who, when he received honorary citizenship of the capital city of Warsaw, decided to repay the city with a monument to Father Ignacy Skorupka in front of the Praga Cathedral, unveiled in 2005. In addition, he also decided to honor ordinary Varsovians – hence the idea of a monument to the Warsaw backyard band made of brass. The monument was erected by the Praga Monument Foundation.
