The garden was actually a modern elaboration of the "space" - in 1955 the garden was created, in line with the Estado Novo romanticism of the time. From the panels found on the site, the design and landscaping were completed by José Cardoso da Silva (according to a posthumous inscription consecrated by the Braga City Council).
