Beautifully shady forest, but beware! Thick tree roots push in the warm months repeatedly the asphalt surface up, it creates bumps and cracks. Each spring, they try to mend asphalt with a shovel.

For me the most beautiful section of the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path: From the Syburg to Hattingen.

The path leads from the Hohensyburg Bridge over the Köpchenwerk to the weir just before Herdecke.
