The Huberfelsen is a small granite rock tower located on the fourth stage of the ZweiTälerSteig (Two Valleys Trail). It serves as a viewing point into the Elz Valley, with an easy ascent and a small platform with an iron railing. Due to its striking appearance, it is often referred to as a "submarine."
The rock was named after Theodor Huber, the former chief bailiff of Triberg, and became a memorial in 1902. A small information plaque on the rock has since commemorated its namesake.
Theodor Huber promoted the construction of mountain roads, such as the one from Triberg to Hausach, which passed right by this spot.
