This building, built in 1908, was a former cigar factory. There are also still some tobacco sheds to see, in which the harvested tobacco leaves were tied and dried. One example is on the track up the Hasenpfad. Many women and men worked in the factories to improve the family income. From the 1880s onwards, there were several cigar factories in Waldangelloch, at times up to ten, which employed over 200 men and women in the years before the First World War. During the First World War and the subsequent period of inflation, the town experienced a temporary decline in cigar factories, coupled with migration due to unemployment.
