This is actually the complete Sachsweg from 1914. Very varied but, especially in summer, partly overgrown (towards Weiler).

Beautiful to walk all year round on this historical hat path for forest workers 🥾🎒🦯

Hutweg for forest staff and forest workers, laid out in 1913/14, with a length of approx. 6.3km!
Walking time 1.5-2h!
The path starts at 🅿️Sommerhilder (Gewann Burgholder - Quellbergweg / Angelocherweg - a little above Sinsheim) and goes almost to the entrance to Weiler (Steinsberg)!
Almost completely through the forest, only at the Hammerau settlement you are in the "open field"!🚳This path is not for cyclists ⛔️There are three 🛖 mountain huts between 🅿️Sommerhilder and Hammerau:
- Black hut
- Hexenbuschhütte
- Rankwiesen HutPasses on the Sachsweg
e.g. also the Huguenot and Waldensian Trail (long-distance hiking trail) and the HW19
