Ascent to Großer Feldberg from Oberursel

A mountain stage par excellence! Allez! Allez! Allez! I'm getting faster each time I climb the summit. It's best not to go full throttle at the beginning. The worst part comes at the end... Drinks and something to eat await the finishers at the top!⚠️ A little tip: Pack a light windbreaker. It can get quite cold on the descent. And be sure to watch out for cars pulling out of parking spaces.

Very pleasant climb from Oberursel. Only from Sandplacken onwards does it become steep again by up to 10%.
If you like it a little harder, go up via Königsstein and Billtahlhöhe.
As already mentioned, you should always pay attention to the temperature difference. I was half frozen on the descent because I only had a wind vest with me. But generally not a problem in summer. And unfortunately a lot of traffic, especially on the weekends.

Every year since 1962 the big ones are riding here. If you drive racing bicycles in this region, you have to go up here too.
